About the play

Wit, a Pulitzer Prize-winning play by Margaret Edson, follows Dr. Vivian Bearing, a renowned professor diagnosed with stage four ovarian cancer.

While undergoing an experimental eight-week chemotherapy, Bearing uses sharp wit and humour to confront her mortality, ultimately shifting from intellectual arrogance to emotional vulnerability, with compassionate care provided by nurse Susie Monahan.
