Set on Inishmaan in 1934, the Cripple of Inismaan is a strange comic tale in the great tradition of Irish Storytelling.

As word arrives on Inishmaan that the Hollywood director Robert Flaherty is coming to the neighbouring island of Inishmore to film Man of Aran, the one person who wants to be in the film more than anybody is young Cripple Billy, if only to break away from the bitter tedium of his daily life.

Having scooped 4 wins, 2 seconds and a 3rd place on the festival circuit - as well as a number of awards for acting, set, lighting and production - The Cripple of Inishmaan has earned it's place at the 2017 RTÉ All Ireland Drama Festival which took place at the Dean Crowe Theatre, Athlone from 4 - 12 May 2017, with the Presentation of Awards on Saturday 13 May.
