big maggie posterby John B Keane

Produced by John Clancy

On the death of her husband Maggie is determined to create a better life for herself and her children. The problems arise when her vision of the future begins to sit on the shoulders of her surly offspring.

John B. Keane's wonderful creation of a rural Irish matriarch ranks with Juno, Mommo and Molly Bloom as one of the great female creations of twentieth-century Irish literature.

Corofin Dramatic Society has brought this amazing play to life as part of the 2018 All Ireland Drama festival 2018 at venues around Ireland, scooping many awards for acting and production, earning a place in the All Ireland Drama Finals on May 7th.
